A few months ago, I decided to boost my productivity.

It all started when I read a book that had a complicated vocabulary.

English being my second language, I did not feel ashamed or sad.

Instead, it made me motivated to increase the number of words I could use in writing as well as in my day-to-day conversations.

Enter - Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis.

You can buy the book here.

This was suggested in many YouTube videos for beginners and various websites on Google. So I wanted to give it a try.

I was not disappointed!!

But since I read this book only once every month, it made me realize that this would take longer than I expected. I increased my frequency to once every week.

That taught me a simple yet very valuable lesson: Consistency is the key to achieving anything.

FYI: Once every month is also consistent in itself, but the problem was that I was not a genius at memorizing things, So I was unable to recall what I read a month ago :)

However, being consistent does not produce any results if you keep getting distracted in the middle of your work.

Enter, Productivity.

These are the basic steps you need to take to begin your journey toward becoming more efficient every day.

  1. Speak out loud to yourself about what you aim to accomplish today.

  2. Write it down and make sure it is directly in your vision (on your laptop as sticky notes or on the wall in front of you.)

  3. Remove any distractions in your room like phones, tablets, gaming consoles, etc.

  4. Do not work in the room where your TV is. (Or your task will fail before you even start.)

That’s all for today. Thank you very much for reading.

If you liked what you read, I’d appreciate it if you could buy me a cup of Chai
